My brother, an addict, was discharged from a crisis care center -- right back to my parents' home. Although I do not live with my parents and brother I am deeply affected by what his addiction has done to our entire family. He continues to use and drink and treat all of us horribly. It is an unsafe environment for everyone. I understand your feelings of frustration expressed in this post. It is not fair. I do think you are looking at your sister's addiction with eyes wide open. You state that she is an adult and responsible for her decisions. This is true; and family members of addicts need to embrace this mentality. Hold the addict responsible for his or her behavior. Thanks for writing the post. I look forward to reading what you write. Isabettahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12228696601915858471noreply@blogger.com
